    Hey thanks for that.

Right now I'm focusing on the Fusion trio I'm in "Altered". We took a bunch of time off for personal issues but now we're getting some new stuff together and are planning on doing some recording soon. Meanwhile I'm going to start trying to get us some gigs again. There's MP3's of us on the "Hear me play" section of the site (most of you have probably seen a million times already). This band stimulates me the most musically right now and so I'm focusing on it.
Did some various sessions lately, nothing big. Pop demos for one producer in particular that likes using me (Gee Rosch his name is). Also I play fairly often with a rock band called Silas, but I'm getting less and less from playing at rock clubs. The sound sucks usually.
I'm itching to play more straight ahead stuff. My roommate is a great sax player and I'm giving him daily guilt trips for not putting something together. Hopefully they will pay off.
Meanwhile I got a day gig where I test video games. It helps pay the bills.
Bottom line is I don't want to play, I need to play. It's a constant obsession and it apparently has no off switch.

    Thanks for asking!

    Hey Steve Holmes,

#1 Just a quick word of appreciation for your time and efforts in putting this site together. You're handling it very professionally and it's a pleasure to come onboard from time-to-time and chat with other drum friends. I guess it goes along with Pocketplayer's recent topic, as to why he enjoys this forum. It also gives me a hint as to how you handle your own drum career down in L.A.

It's not always easy, isn't it. Well, let me encourage you, hang in there even when "the goin gets tough and the tough gets goin"!!

#2 Well this is your site so, please give us an update as to what you're working on these days and where are you performing, etc.. I.E: What gigs, studio projects...

Everyone are welcome to add their own thoughts/comments....

    Ciao,

    Hey Steve
Please continue to post where and when you are gigging for those who live in So Cal. I see a lot of live music and want to support your efforts. I can at least get the attendance up by four or five.
Also, how has the sales of Shed Some Light been since the MD plug?

Video sales have been good. It's weird to think about the folks whom I've never met that have sat and watched me for an hour at least once. It's been a little over a year since I started seeling those things now.

    And by the way Steve,

Nice playing on those MP3's you have on your site. I like how you swing, groove and stuff.

    Yeah man, KEEP IT UP!!!

    Ciao,
